08242009 - Ex's Criminal Case - Violation Of PPO - Email from Attorney Shaw requesting I drop criminal charges - 64D06-0808-CM-8254/Porter County Superior Court, Portage IN

Attorney Shaw and my ex had failed to appear at all the court hearings for the criminal case. They failed to show up at the trial. With an arrest warrant issued for my ex, suddenly my ex wanted to settle the divorce property settlement.

Attorney Shaw was requesting in this email that I drop the criminal charges against my ex and  in exchange they would immediately do a property settlement [At the June 24, 2009 divorce hearing, my ex and Attorney Shaw wanted the Court to award my ex 100% of all the marital assets].

I refused to drop the criminal charges, as I thought this was wrong.

Instead, I had my ex arrested on the warrant at the September 2009 hearing. He pled guilty to threatening my life and was placed on probation.

I forwarded Shaw's email to the Indiana Attorney General's office regarding Shaw's unethical request that I drop criminal charges / pressuring me into dropping charges in exchange for a property settlement.

08212009 - Ex's Criminal Case - Violation Of PPO - Attorney Shaw's email to prosecutor and my attorney - 64D06-0808-CM-8254/Porter County Superior Court, Portage IN

My ex and his attorney had failed to appear at each of the court dates for the criminal case. They had even failed to show up for the trial. With an arrest warrant out for my ex, Attorney Shaw suddenly wanted to talk with the prosecuting attorney and my divorce attorney - "I need to speak with both of you,  LOL"

Attorney Shaw claims in this email that he wants to speak to the prosecutor about a plea agreement [that he rejected in July] and my attorney about the date for the final hearing in the divorce. But, what Attorney Shaw later emails my attorney is a request that I drop the criminal charges...
