I had been in Michigan since the first week of June, and I hadn't really heard that much from the soon to be ex. Then suddenly, over the past week, the ex had been calling me, often several times a day. He would launch into tyrades where he was screaming at the top of his lungs....one threat after the other with what he would do to me if I didn't return to Indiana. But I was safe and sound in Michigan, so I more or less blew him off.
I was on my way to a meeting with Sheriff Oltersdorf [Leelanau County], regarding Michigan Officer Involved Domestic Violence [MIOIDV] legislation and programs, when the ex began his threatening calls for the day.
He wasted no time getting to the point. His threat of the day: If I didn't return immediately to Indiana, he was going to get hold of Abbi and Bailey and have them destroyed.
A friend was taking care of Abbi and Bailey...but I knew my ex. Once he issued a threat, it was as good as done, because he would exert every bit of energy and every devious trick he had to carry out his dirty deed.
I had to rescue Abbi and Bailey [who were twelve hours away]....but first I had to get to a meeting with the Sheriff. OMG!
